I have finally managed to finish analyzing all the data and the images from the SAT1 launch. I have discovered a number of things. Firstly a 32gig memory card shooting at Full HD is not enough to film a whole flight. Secondly a 64gig memory card is big enough but you do need an extended battery on a GoPro. I also worked out that it wasn't the circuit that I had built that failed. For some reason one of the resistors on the Arduino Mega had failed. It worked until it reached 27099m and stopped while the balloon was still rising. It then started working again at 24919m until it got to 2550m and then it didn't work again.
Where we were waiting for it to land and a farm house we went to on the day we lost the capsule was less than 1km from the landing site, just the other side of a hill. Below I have included the Google earth plot of the flight and the YouTube clip of the flight. I have hidden my father-in-laws face out of respect for my wife's family.
